ある朝目覚めると私は見慣れない風景に囲まれていました。 紅葉煌めく鮮やかな衣装たち。なるほど私はどうやら平安の世に来てしまったのかもしれない。 納得納得。 不安と興奮が冷めぬまま街に出て最初に出会った役人のような人に事情を説明しました。 話を聞いていた役人は驚きながらも「なるほど、そのような事情があったのですね、平安の時代へようこそ！」と歓迎の言葉を述べました。 しかし、私はここで疑問が湧きました。 平安の当時を生きる人がどうして"平安"と現代で呼ばれていることを知っているのだろう。そういえばそもそもなぜ自然に会話ができているのだろうか。 警戒心を募らせながら、その役人の視線を捉えると、彼の目には秘密を隠し持っているような奥深い光が宿っていました。もしかすると、彼もまた時間を超えて来た者なのかもしれません。 私はすぐに現代へ戻る必要が出てきました。しかし役人は私の心を読んだのでしょうか。「"現代"っていうのは本当に絶対的なものなのでしょうか」 私は昔読んだブログにもこのような話が出てきたなと感じましたとさ。

僕は大学入学以降、とにかくだらけた。怠け者だった。文系学部にもかかわらず大学1年の初っ端から2年への進級条件である30単位の取得ができずに留年した。 単位が取れなかった理由は唯一つ。朝起きるのがだるくて今日は大学に行かなくていいやってのが何度も、というかほとんど毎日、そんな毎日だったからだ。 朝起きるのが、と書いたが、睡眠から目覚めるのがと言ったほうが正しいかもしれない。起きる時間が朝であれ、昼であれ、夕方であれだるかった。とにかく睡眠からの起床という流れが非常に苦手だったのだ。 そうやっていくうちに単位も落とし、自己肯定感も下がり、やる気がなくなっていったのである。だるい。とにかくだるい。2回目の大学1年は進級条件の最低限の単位である8単位を前期に取得し、後期は一度も大学に行かなかった。 大学2年もこの調子で行くと大学卒業までに何年かかるか分からない。というか大学卒業できるかさえ分からない。多分大卒の資格は取れないんだろうなーなんてん、そんな不安な気持ちをどこか心の隅に置きながらも、そんな現実からは目を背け、好きなときに寝て好きなときに起きて好きなときに遊んでみたいな宇宙の片隅にあるゴミクズのような生活を続けていた。 僕は社会不適合者なのだと自分に烙印を押した。夜型の人間は朝型には努力してもなれないなんて話も聞いた。お先真っ暗人生の烙印でもあったのだ。 そんなとき、そんな大学2年が始まる直前の2020年初旬頃だっただろうか。某ウイルスが日本でも大きな話題となり、大学の授業が完全リモートになった。 するとどうだろうか。単位の取得が圧倒的に簡単になった。なぜならオンタイムの授業がほとんどなくなり、講義を受講したのち課題を提出するパターンの授業が多かったからだ。もちろんリアルタイムオンラインで開講される講義もあったにはあったが、その参加難易度は圧倒的に確実に衝撃的に劇的に下がった。 僕のようなだらけ人間にとっては神のようなシステムだった。夜中に講義を受けても良いのである。朝方でも夕方でも昼時でもいつでもいいのだ。 元来真面目な部分もある僕だから、やるとなればしっかり課題はこなす。これにより僕は信じられないくらいのGPAを叩き出し、単位もほとんど取得することができた。 こうして大学2年はなんの問題もなくストレートに進級することができた。そして大学3年も基本的にはオンラインでの講義開催が告知され、僕は歓喜した。 大学3年も難なく単位を取得し、余裕を持って大学4年への進学を決めた。その間に特に苦労はなかったと思う。 大学4年ではオフラインでの開講がほとんどとなり、起床できずに授業へ行けないといったことが頻繁に起こったものの、取得しなければいけない単位自体が少なかったため、なんとか卒業を決めることができた。 ところで、僕は大学3年時に早々に就職活動を終えていた。ここまでの話を聞くと就活も大したところへ行けなそうな大学生活のように感じるが、僕は元来真面目で計画的な人間なのだ。ただ単に朝起きるのが苦手で単位を落としてしまっていただけで、就活への準備は着々と、それも1回目の大学1年のときから始めていた。手始めにビジネス職の長期インターンに参加し、Webメディアのディレクターのようなものをやっていた。そこでエンジニアという職業と出会い、文系ながらにもエンジニアに憧れを持つ。そしてそこからは独学でプログラミングの学習を進め、自分で簡単なアプリケーションを作れるようになったくらいでエンジニアの長期インターンを始めた。そこから就活用の制作物を作成し、メガベンチャーでの短期インターンにも合格し、長期インターンでのエンジニア実務経験、レベルの高い成果物、メガベンチャーでの短期インターン経験という3つの武器を引っ提げ、高学歴理系大学院生たちと戦い、なんとか誰もが超大手Web起業への内定を、しかも複数社勝ち取ったのである。 こうして卒業と就職先を決めた僕であったが、僕の中には僕自身で僕に押した「社会不適合者」という烙印が脳裏を常によぎっていた。就職しても朝、決まった時間に起床できるのだろうか。夜になったらちゃんと眠れるのだろうか。そんな不安が入社式前日まで僕の中の脳みそを侵食していた。 しかしどうだろう。入社して約4ヶ月が過ぎた。僕は一度も遅刻をしていない。僕は夜ちゃんと眠れている。朝はちゃんと起きている。たしかに早い時間ではないしギリギリまで寝ている。しかし定時刻にはちゃんと僕はそこに、居なければ居ない場所に居るのだ。 僕は社会不適合者ではなかったのかもしれない。僕は社会不適合者ではなかったのかもしれない。意外と。最初のうちは本当に不安でいっぱいだったはずが今は当たり前のように朝起きている。ふとそういえばずっと不安になっていたな。と感じたので今日は大学から今現在までの僕を振り返ってみた。もちろん、ずっとは続かないかもしれない。いつか破綻するかもしれない。しかし4ヶ月もちゃんとしているという現実、今がとても清々しい。嬉しい。この体験は忘れたくない。明日も明後日も明明後日も僕は地に足をつけて僕ができる80点を僕なりに頑張って出していけばいい。偉い。よく頑張っているよと時々褒めつつ。

Despite being a liberal arts major, I failed to obtain the 30 credits required to advance from the first year to the second year of college, and I stayed in school. Of course, there were lectures offered in real-time online, but the difficulty level of participating in them dropped drastically, overwhelmingly and certainly shockingly. It was a god-like system for a person like me who was riddled with problems. You could attend lectures in the middle of the night. I could attend lectures in the morning, in the evening, or anytime during the day. I am a serious person by nature, so I would do my assignments if I had to. This allowed me to achieve an unbelievable GPA and earn most of my credits. Thus, I was able to advance straight through my second year of college without any problems. I was delighted when I was notified that the third year of college would also be basically online. I was able to earn credits without any difficulty in my third year of college, and decided to go on to the fourth year of college with a little time to spare. I don't think I had any particular difficulties during that time. In my fourth year of college, most of the classes were held offline, and I frequently had trouble getting up and going to class, but the number of credits I had to obtain was small, so I was able to graduate. By the way, I finished job hunting early in my third year of college. It may sound like my college life was not going to lead me to any great success in job hunting, but I am an earnest and systematic person by nature. I was just not good at getting up in the morning and was losing credits, but I had been steadily preparing for job hunting since my first year of college. For starters, I participated in a long-term internship in a business position, working as a sort of web media director. There, he encountered the profession of engineer, and despite his liberal arts background, he developed a yearning to be an engineer. From there, he taught himself programming, and when he was able to create simple applications on his own, he began a long-term internship as an engineer. From there, he created a work product for job hunting and was accepted to a short-term internship at a mega-venture. Armed with three weapons: practical experience as an engineer at a long-term internship, high-level work product, and short-term internship experience at a mega-venture, he fought against highly educated science graduate student rivals and managed to get a job offer at a super major web startup that everyone knows. He managed to win multiple job offers from major web startups. Although I had decided to graduate and find a job in this way, the brand of "social misfit" that I had imposed on myself was constantly nagging at the back of my mind. I wondered if I would be able to get up at a certain time in the morning even after finding a job. Would I be able to sleep at night? These worries invaded my brain until the day before the entrance ceremony. But what do you think? About four months have passed since I joined the company. I have not been late even once. I am sleeping well at night. I wake up in the morning. It is true that I am not early and I sleep until the last minute. But I am there on time, where I would otherwise be. 本日は優しさについて激論していきましょう。 対談相手にゲストとして恐怖の虎さんをお呼びしました。

まず、優しさについて僕の意見をいいます。
優しさとは想像力であり、想像力とは賢さだということです。つまり、優しい人は賢い。逆にいうと賢い人は優しいのではないかと思うのです。

これは一部当てはまるかもしれんけど、全員に当てはまるわけやないやろ。優しさや想像力や賢さは、それぞれ別の概念で、必ずしもリンクしてるわけちゃうんや。賢いとされる人でも、必ずしも優しいわけちゃうし、逆に優しい人が必ず賢いわけでもないんやで。

貴方の主張は、これらの概念が互いに独立しているというものでしたが、それは絶対的な真実ではないかもしれません。ある面でこれらの概念は、確かに互いに連携し、補完しあっていると言えるでしょう。例えば、想像力を使って他人の視点を理解する能力は、深い洞察力と知識が必要となります。そのため、この視点からは、賢さと優しさは密接に関連していると言えます。

もう一度言うけど、優しさ、想像力、賢さは必ずしも一緒になるわけやないんやで。別に賢い人が想像力持ってるから優しいとは限らんし、逆に優しい人が必ず賢いとも限らんわけや。なんでこれら全てが一緒になると思ってんのかは知らんけど、それはお前の考えに過ぎへんわけや。

わかりました。優しさと賢さについては貴方の言う通りと認めます。
視点を変えて、「優しさの押しつけとただの自己満足の優しさ」について語りましょう。
一般的に優しいとされるような人は優しいと思われる行動を積極的にする人であり、それは優しさを押し付けており、相手に気を遣わせるような人だとも言えるということです。
そのような人と一緒にいると、どちらが大変な思いをしているかの競争になり気を遣わせ合うため大変です。

これも全員に当てはまるわけやないやろ。真の優しさってんは、他人の気持ちやニーズに気を配り、その行動で相手を尊重しようとするもんや。相手に何を押し付けるわけちゃうで。本当に優しい人は、相手が何を求めてるか、何を求めてないかを理解して尊重するんや。

私が以前に述べたように、優しさを押し付ける行為は本当の優しさとは異なると思いますが、それでも人間関係の中では誤解やコミュニケーションのギャップが発生する可能性があります。優しいと思われたい人が行動を誤解され、それが押し付けと受け取られてしまうこともあるかもしれません。また、その人が相手に気を使わせる意図があったわけではない場合もあります。

これに関しては、お前の主張が誤解を生んでると思うわ。優しさを押し付ける人がおる、それは認める。でも、それが全ての人に当てはまるわけやないんや。誤解やコミュニケーションのギャップは人間関係の中でよくあることやけど、それを優しさの問題と結びつけるのはあんまりやと思うで。もし優しさが負担に感じられるなら、それは相手とのコミュニケーションに問題がある可能性があるやろ。

一言で言うなら、人間関係は複雑やから、一つの概念で全てを説明しようとするのは無理があるってことやな。人それぞれ違うから、それを理解することが大事なんやで。

This does not apply to everyone. True kindness is paying attention to the feelings and needs of others and trying to respect them through one's actions. It is not about forcing something on the other person. A truly kind person understands and respects what others want and don't want.

As I have stated before, the act of imposing kindness is not the same as true kindness, yet misunderstandings and communication gaps can still occur in relationships. A person who wants to be seen as kind may have their actions misunderstood and this may be perceived as an imposition. It may also be the case that the person did not intend to make the other person feel uncomfortable.

I think your argument is misleading on this one. There are people who impose kindness on others, I agree. But that doesn't apply to everyone. Misunderstandings and gaps in communication are common in relationships, but I don't think it's fair to attribute them to the issue of kindness. If kindness feels like a burden, then it is likely a communication problem.

In a nutshell, relationships are complex, and it is impossible to explain everything with a single concept. Everyone is different, and it is important to understand that.

オールスターが開催された。 僕は普段セ・リーグしか見ないおじさんなのだが、実力のパという名にふさわしい圧巻の勝利だった。 実力のパ、人気のセとはいうが実のところどうなのだろう。 体感的には特に阪神タイガースの人気ぶりは凄まじい。実際に調べてみた。 やはり阪神は2022年度の球場別1試合平均入場者数は36,370人と圧倒的である。 次点で大正義読売巨人軍なのは想像に易いが、意外なのがその次は福岡ソフトバンクホークスの31,221人である。 さすが王会長、孫正義である。

広島は地方球場での主催試合がないというのも大きいかもしれないですね。

At the moment of choosing jam for bread, I am suddenly reminded of Wittgenstein's linguistic game theory. This monthly gathering, entitled “An Evening of Poetry and Music,” invites us into a universe of words and sounds. The space was renovated from an old warehouse. Soft light and shadows intermingle in the space. Geometric patterns are painted on the walls, and crystal mobiles sway gracefully from the ceiling. The space itself is like a poem. As the evening sun begins to set, people gather in groups. Their eyes sparkle with freedom, freed from the daily grind. Everyone here is a poet and a musician. The event began with a reading by a young poet. Have you ever heard the whisper of stardust? It is a piece of cosmic memory An eternal poem engraved on our souls.” Her words echoed through the space. Then, the tone of the musicians, who began to improvise, enveloped the words. The piano melody expresses stardust, the violin plays the expanse of the universe, and percussion beats the pulse of the soul.
